Nourish provides a unique holistic experience where you get the natural skincare you deserve in a serene and private environment. We provide an extensive range of body hair removal services that will leave you feeling beautiful and your skin feeling its best. There are many at-home hair removal options, but professional waxing is cheaper than laser hair removal and less time-consuming than shaving. So whether you’re new to hair removal and waxing or have seen it all before, we’re here to help. We’ve listed the answers to the most common questions we get about hair removal and waxing so you can make the best decision for you and your skin.
At face value, you will avoid nicks, rashes, and itching that come with shaving, but there is more to it. Shaving cuts the hair close to the surface of your skin, while waxing removes hair at the root. Waxing removes more of the hair, so it takes weeks to grow back instead of 1-2 days. By removing the hair at the follicle, you will also benefit from finer regrowth, fewer ingrown hairs, and, over time, less regrowth altogether.
Waxing can be a painful process, depending on where you’re waxing, what your pain threshold is, and if it’s your first time. Over time, waxing will become less painful as your skin adjusts to the process and your hair becomes finer. If you’re nervous, maybe start with a less intimate spot, like your legs, and work your way up to a bikini wax, if that’s your goal.
Ideally, your hair should be a quarter to a half inch. All the hairs must be long enough to stick to the wax and not leave anything behind. However, if your hair is too long, the process could be more painful. That’s why your esthetician might trim longer hair before getting started.
Waxing removes the top layer of the epidermis, leaving you with a fresh layer of sensitive skin for a day or two. While we prep your skin to go home post-wax at the salon, there is a simple step you can do at home to help your skin heal and reduce redness. Moisturize. Keep your skin moisturized, especially for the first day or two after waxing. Talk to your esthetician about the best product to use, especially if you’ve received a Brazilian or Bikini Wax and are caring for an intimate spot. Just remember to be extra kind to your skin 24 hours after waxing while it heals.
You can, but it’s not advised. Shaving between waxes will counteract all the benefits of waxing we mentioned above, plus it will likely make your next wax more painful.

Not quite ready for a FULL Brazilian yet, but have a few stragglers? This service is for you!
Was made to feel so comfortable and at ease. Great ambience. Haylan is so calm, kind, helpful & knowledgeable. My skin just glows after a treatment for days and so I don’t even wear makeup and still look good in pictures! Plus it all just feels so good. One visit and you will be back. She really knows her business. I could enjoy this once a month!!!
I’ve had my eyebrows and a facial done with Haylan and they both were amazing! Now she is the only person I see for my eyebrows and I absolutely love how natural but clean she makes my wild thick brows look. I can’t recommend her enough!
I bring Haylan my shaggy eyebrows and she quickly and expertly turns them into perfect form. Unlike so many who have left me with a pencil line of a brow, Haylan provides a nice arch while allowing me to retain a nice looking, full eyebrow. And her space is lovely. Highly recommend!
